Wedding videographer Brisbane

Hi, I’m James and I’m a wedding videographer, Brisbane-based. I’m trusted to be a filmmaker for happy couples on their most special day. It’s a big deal to get married. I’m sure you’ve heard the spiel before, so I’ll spare you. But what I will tell you, is that I have been asked to be a wedding videographer (Brisbane) for many couples and I’d love to shoot yours.

I make it easy as your wedding videographer (Brisbane).

I understand the wedding day is stressful and there’s a lot of costs associated with making your dream day come true. I’ve outlined my prices on my pricing page, but what is most important is that you understand that I will be there to listen to your needs, hear about the style you want and deliver a product that meets your expectations.

What to expect in the wedding videography process

You’re busy, especially in the lead-up to a wedding! I’m flexible with how you would like to meet - maybe this is face-to-face, maybe it’s over a Zoom. You call the shots!

What I’ll be asking you in this consultation is some pretty easygoing questions, but they give me a deep insight into the type of couple you are and how I can tailor my wedding videography work to meet your expectations.

Often I’ll ask the most important question - what’s your favourite music? You might think that isn’t the most important thing to consider with wedding videography, but music tells us a lot about who we are and sets a tone for how you connect with art. Generally this question leads us to a range of topics that give me a clear idea of who you are, without the stuffy formalities of traditional wedding consults.

What we’ll be left with us a clear understanding of what you expect from your wedding video, and all the little things that are important for me capture.

What makes my wedding videography different?

Traditionally, wedding videography (Brisbane videography especially) follow a traditional structure. While these videos are nice to look at, your day is unique and you deserve a unique video.

I’m passionate about storytelling. So much so that I actually don’t call myself a wedding videographer in Brisbane, I call myself a wedding filmmaker. My style is documentary and shows all the intimate moments that are often overlooked. I’m trained to notice the smaller details that you might wonder if only you notice.

I’ve had clients tell me before that they want a wedding videographer (Brisbane) that won’t place them in awkward positions, over-choreograph situations, or be a dominate energy on location. My fly-on-the-wall approach ensures that your video feels natural, intimate and unique.

How much does a wedding videographer in Brisbane cost?

Because I’m a wedding videographer, Brisbane-based, and passionate about weddings, my travel time is not a factor in the budget. This helps keep cost low. There are three tiers of pricing. You can find more about these over on my pricing page. I want to ensure you get the best value for your money possible.

What you get hiring me as your wedding videographer

4-7 minute 4K wedding day highlights video

You’ll receive the highest quality video in 4K so it will look stunning on any device for years to come. This is important, because you’re not hiring me to film your wedding to be rewatched the next day. You are asking for a video that will stand the test of time and be watched back many years from now.

This video tells the story of your special day, from preparation until the dancefloor fires up.

You’ll receive this video within two months.

60-second teaser for easy use on social media

Often my clients want a shorter, sharper version of the full video to share on their social media networks. I provide a one-minute video seperate to the main video, to make it easy to share the highlights of your special day with those on your social media networks (Instagram, TikTok etc).

You’ll receive this within one month.

Full videos of the ceremony and speeches

You’ll also get a full copy of the entire wedding ceremony and the speeches, so you have them to look back on and remember all the funny and special moments shared between you, your partner and those you love.

You’ll receive this within one month.

Are you a photographer and wedding videographer (Brisbane)?

Part of what makes my wedding videography unique is that I am a dedicated videographer. Sure, I can take photos. However, for the best results I recommended a photographer and videographer are employed to capture your special day. If you’re looking for a photographer or need a recommendation, please contact me and I’ll be happy to recommended one of my trusted partner suppliers to work alongside me.

Can you put our favourite song in the video?

Every couple has a song that’s important to them. Maybe it was the ballad you walked down the aisle to, or the acoustic rendition of an 80s classic you danced your first dance to. Unfortunately however these songs can’t be used in your wedding film due to copyright issues.

Wedding film makers have copped big fines in the past for using copyrighted music, but most importantly uploading to any social media account will immediately flag the video and prevent you from being able to share with friends and family.

I have access to an extensive library of copyright free music in every style and genre you can think of which I incorporate into your wedding film.

Can I purchase the raw footage?

An average 8 hour wedding day anywhere between 2 and 4 hours of footage can end up being captured. This is culled down to the highlights short film and ceremony & speeches videos that you receive with your package.

While this might sound like there are hours of quality footage being left on the cutting room floor the reality is that what you are seeing has been carefully curated to best represent your day just as it was. Because I shoot my footage in high quality 10-bit 4k 50fps across up to 5 different cameras, the average wedding day will fill up to 500gb of storage space and for this reason is not practical to share
