Who Am I?
Hi, I’m James.
I’ve been making films for the past 10 years. My background began in short films and corporate videos, but as time has gone I’ve found myself drawn into the world of wedding films. As someone who has always aspired to tell emotional stories there is no greater confluence of emotions and film making than capturing weddings.
My work is motivated by natural, candid and real emotions. You’re not actors (unless you are), so why should you be treated like them? I’m on the look out from preparations to the end of the reception for the spontaneous moments between you and the person who means the most to you - the little things you never realised anyone was paying attention to.
Whether your wedding is in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Bundaberg, Hervey Bay or somewhere else in Australia, I’m standing by ready to capture it.
I also love a good dance floor more than anything.
These days when I’m not shooting weddings I’m out working with bands!
Photographing punk shows, shooting music videos or heading out on tour the high energy world of working with musicians is what I love just as much as the wedding industry.

We were initially undecided on having a videographer for our wedding - but we are so glad we did and so glad we chose James. He was so easy to work with… It was flooding and raining on our wedding day so it wasn’t the easiest circumstances for anyone. James absolutely nailed our video… edited to Kickstart My Heart by Motley Crue. We love how unique the video is and it captured the day perfectly.
